The Biomatter Flow
Biomatter is one of the most important raw materials in the tower for production and life support. The upper chart shows the latest knowledge of the biomatter-flow within the tower. Where does biomatter come from and where does it go to.
Biomatter Income:
90 % of the biomatter is provided throughout the black algia, which was used for the original terraforming plans. The black algia is growing outside the tower, mostly in the water around the crater and the ice on the planetside. 10 % of the biomatter is provided by recycling processes. Here BHU is thinking of machinery-waste and bio-organism-recycling, such as human excrements.
Biomatter Users:
BHU identified two biomatter-users in main. The floatbed-chambers and the sharepoints (production) Not identified yet are tower-facilities that are also in use of biomatter, such as life-support-facilities or filtering-systems in the tower.
Pitfalls on the flow
Regarding to this flow and the little knowledge about it, there are some pitfalls that might cause trouble on biomatter-support.
- Technical pitfalls on unknown systems
- Contamination in biomatter-flow
- Contamination of black algia
- Lack of black algia
- Rapid increase of floatbed-use due to rising population
